2018 Gifted Education Coordinator and Specialist Two Day Workshop:

Session Description:
MDE is pleased to announce an ALL NEW two-day training workshop for all gifted education coordinators and specialists. The two-day workshop is a collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Education, the Minnesota Council for Gifted and Talented, and the Minnesota Educators of the Gifted and Talented. This year’s workshop provides an overview of legislation, reporting requirements, and funding. Special focuses for 2018 are the use of a new tool for making acceleration decisions and strategies for serving twice exceptional learners. Speakers will include presenters from all three organizations, guest speakers and panels of educators representing districts of all sizes and models of services
