May the Coding Fourth Be With You: A gifted kids' coding event at Code Ninja (...on May 4th!)

Registration limit has been reached. If we have enough interest, we may open a second event, please add your name to the waitlist if you are interested.

The MCGT Minnetonka Chapter is excited to partner with Code Ninja Chanhassen (https://www.codeninjas.com/locations/mn-chanhassen/) to offer gifted kids ages 6-13 an opportunity to code and socialize with other gifted kids.

All ranges of coding experience are welcome - from no experience to expert coding kids. Kids will use Scratch and take a semi-prebuilt game and add to it. The game will be a basic platformer (like Mario) and the kids will choose to add obstacles, goals, and more to make their game fun and unique. Code Ninja staff will there to teach and guide the kids, and parents are welcome to socialize in the Code Ninja lobby, gather around the corner at Bonsai Sushi & Korean Cuisine for food and drinks, or simply drop-off and return at pick up time. Kids will participate in a presentation at the end to share their game with the group. Star Wars ideas and attire are welcome (but not required) on this special day!
