MCGT Picnic

Join MCGT for our annual summer picnic at Tony Schmidt Regional Park Shelter! MCGT Members and Non-Members are welcome to join us, this event is open to all. It's a great opportunity to talk to and connect with other families!
Event is FREE - RSVP's are requested so that we know how much food and other supplies to provide.
MCGT will provide hamburger and veggie burgers. We will have some family activities (see schedule below).
Have a highschooler in your family? We could use some help running activities (anyone want to run the cotton candy machine?). MCGT will provide a volunteer service hours certificate for those who volunteer their time. Email info@mcgt.net for more information and to sign up.
Families should bring:
- A side dish to share
- Reusable plates and silverware for your family, so that we are as environmentally friendly as possible (MCGT will have limited disposable supplies)
- Beverages for your family
- Lawn chairs and/or blankets - there is a lot of grassy area around the shelter
- Optional: A favorite game to play with new friends
Schedule:
- 11:30am - 12:30pm Gathering, Games and Social time
- 12:30pm - Lunch begins, Cotton Candy (dye-free)
- 12:30pm - 2:00pm Amazing Scott Balloon Artist, Collage Art, Games & Fun
- 1:00pm - 2:00pm Connections - meet MCGT board members and MCGT chapter/community group leaders
Please share this event with other families that are interested in learning more about MCGT. The annual picnic is a great way to make new friends among the Minnesota community of families of gifted children. There will be an opportunity to join MCGT at the picnic.
