MCGT Annual Picnic
Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 21! That’s the date for the Annual MCGT Summer Picnic, and we hope that many of you will be able to attend. All the usual trappings will be included We’ll be at the Jensen Lake Picnic Shelter, 1350 Carriage Hills Drive Eagan, MN 55123.
Families who have come to the picnic in past years have enjoyed the company, the activities, and the food. It’s a great way to see old friends and make new ones.
As has been the case in the past, MCGT will provide burgers (meat and veggie), hot dogs, buns, condiments, and paper products. We ask families to bring a salad, munchies, or dessert to share, as well as their own beverages. Depending on how many sign up, you may receive a suggestion to bring a lawn chair or two as well.
This event is a family event, and parents are expected to supervise their children during the picnic. We hope to have some activities to engage the kids, but the planners are not responsible for the behavior of children other than our own. This information is included because of past inquiries about whether parents needed to keep tabs on their kids.
Updates regarding the picnic will appear here and on our listserve. Please be sure to respond to this online RSVP as early as possible to assist us in planning (especially the amount of food & picnic supplies we’ll supply).
Include numbers of adults and children coming, the age(s) of the child(ren), and whether you plan to bring a salad, munchies, or a dessert. We will again charge a nominal fee, as we did last year: $1/person, with a $5 max/family payable at the event. Also, we can use help in making this event happen.
