Keynote Speaker – Alonzo Kelly

The Impact of Organizational Culture on Identity

In regards to matters of identity, human beings are no different than any other living species on the planet. Each of us thrive in environments where both our Base and our Place are recognized and respected. Unlike other living species however, as critical thinking beings with the unique ability to 'argue', we are able to intentionally create organizational cultures that foster authentic relationships, enhance our performance, and realize our potential.

Breakout sessions with Alonzo will include The Intersection of Lived Experience, Learned Experience, Formal Education, and Emotional Intelligence and Misdiagnosed in the Workplace: Helping Our Kids Survive in the World.

A dynamic Executive Coach, Professor, 3x Best Selling Author, and Radio Host, Alonzo Kelly has gained international and global attention as a premier consultant and strategist. Children’s Program: Open only to children of registered adults who attend the conference. Kids in kindergarten through 7th grade must pre-register. They will choose a morning and an afternoon class led by experienced teachers. There are no facilities for children younger than kindergarten. Older kids may register to attend adult sessions or sign up to be volunteers in various areas of the conference (including assisting teachers in one of the kids’ classes or helping set up and clean up). Contact Shari at crowriver@mcgt.net for more information on volunteer opportunities at the conference.

Lunch: All will eat together in the school's cafeteria. Please mark lunch choices on the conference registration form. Please note any allergies/dietary restrictions on the registration form.

Book Swap for Students and Adults: Bring your used, good condition, children's and adolescent books to swap for something your kids haven't read (no textbooks or preschool books please). And adults, you can bring a book and participate too! It's easy to do. After you check in at the registration table on the morning of the conference, go to the Book Swap table in the exhibitor hall and exchange the books you brought for coupons which will allow you to select an equal number of different books. (If you like garage sales or the used book sales that libraries conduct, you may find suitable books to purchase to bring for the MCGT Conference Book Swap). Return to the Book Swap table at the end of the day to redeem your coupons for books your fellow conference attendees turned in that morning.

Exhibitors and Vendors: The exhibit hall will be open all day. There will be tables with information and catalogs from a number of organizations.

Table Talks & Lunchtime Sessions: From 12:15 - 1:20, Multiple presenters will be available in the exhibit hall for table talks and interactive sessions appropriate for both adults and their children. This is an opportunity to dialogue with experts in areas of interest.
