MCGT 2023 Speaker Series with Erika Kluge

Enhancing Executive Functioning (Independence, Productivity, and Success for Learning)
Elementary School

Saturday, January 21, 2023
9:00-11:00am
via Zoom

It is never too early to question why a child appears frustrated or dislikes academic tasks. Acquiring help, accommodations, and/or necessary documentation are critical to a successful K - 12 experience, as well as transitions into college and career.

During this session, explore ways to enhance your gifted and talented child’s executive functioning during elementary school. Learn how they access, process, and express information, and learn strategies to:

  • help independently access reading materials, even when the student does not yet read or read well

  • understand and remember the information they learn, even when the student can’t write, spell, or type well

  • help students express their knowledge faster and with less frustration for homework and exams

  • understand metacognition strategies to help navigate learning steps

This is the first of three presentations in a series - attend all three!
Separate registration is required for each presentation.
