AI Meets IQ:
Exploring Talent Development with Artificial Intelligence
Monday, April 7, 2025
6:30 - 8:00pm CDT (UTC-5:00) via Zoom
Presenter: Eric Calvert, Ed.D.
A growing number of researchers are viewing giftedness not as a fixed trait, but as an interaction between potential and opportunities in our environments. A defining characteristic of humans is the use and creation of tools to overcome our own limitations. It's already clear that AI tools will be powerful and offer both potential to create great benefits and great harms for humans.
This session explores recent research on the strengths and weaknesses of human brains and how talent develops in people and communities using AI as a mirror. Dr. Calvert will highlight AI-based tools parents and educators can use to support the development of thinking skills while equipping students to be intentional, critical, and capable creators and users of technology.
